Years Of Experience

FROM THE DEAN'S DESK

Greetings, Preachers, Teachers, Missionaries and Laity. All of us know that the Christian ministry can be overwhelming at times, especially when you feel that you have not been adequately trained for such a great task. Those of us who are entrusted to preach and
teach God’s word must be deeply knowledgeable, passionately, evangelical, and highly skilled in the word and ministry to be successful. Nothing less is acceptable in the sight of the Lord. This is why Paul tells us that we should study to show ourselves approved workman who need not be ashamed, but who (can) rightly divide the word of truth.

Now you can get a world – class education in the city of Decatur, Alabama at The Zion School of Theology, for a small fraction of the cost and a 3rd of the time less. Tuition on average in the state of Alabama is about $10,000 to $16,000 per year, not counting food, room, or board. At Southwestern Baptist Seminary, the cost of a course per hour is $390.00. Example, a 3-hour class would cost $1,170 a course, tuition alone, at Samford University cost $36,725 per year. The average semester consists of 12 weeks of study, at The Zion School of Theology, our semesters, will consist of 8 weeks, at the cost of $83.33 per course hour. So, here we see that a $250.00 per 3-hour course is a very small price to
pay for a religious education, without peers in depth of subject matters, and excellency in scholarship. We look forward to hearing from you. Don’t Delay, Enroll Today” …

OUR MISSION

The mission statement of The Zion School of Theology is expressed as followed: To edify God by improving minds morally so, that Black Christian communities can benefit spiritually. The Zion School of Theology is committed to generating scholarship and informative information, to the guardians of the most sacred and important institution in the African American Communities, the Black Church. This school is without peers in subject matter and excellency in scholarship.

Our aim is to perpetuate and continue the liberation theme in the spirit of Jesus the Christ by recognizing that “the spirit of the Lord is upon (us) and he has anointed us to preach the gospel to the poor; healing the broken hearted, preaching deliverance to the captive, recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, and to preach the acceptable year of the Lord,[1] teaching the theme of Liberation, while being committed to the human struggle for justice and equality of persons and groups who suffer from racial and social oppression. It was this type of commitment that caused the prophet Amos to cry out, saying, “let, judgment run down as waters, and righteousness as a mighty stream”.[2]
