THE ZION SCHOOL OF THEOLOGY

The Zion School of Preaching is an Interdenominational School of religious studies. The school was founded and chartered in October 1991, by the Dean and founder, The Rt. Rev. Elder, George W. Allen, Jr. and a board of three trustees. Article (3) of the Articles of Incorporation, describes the purposes and powers of the corporation. The corporation is organized and shall be operated exclusively for religious, charitable, literary, and educational purposes, etc.

The Zion School of Theology is a legally recognized non-profit 501(c)3 organization permitted by the state of Alabama laws to grant religious degrees. We are exempt from accrediting requirements because we confer only religious degrees. Our Certificates and Degrees are designed for the working clergy and teachers of the word.

The Founder and Master Teacher have been studying the word of God for more than fifty-years and is known far and wide for his depth of subject matters and excellence in scholarship. In addition to that he has taken an associate’s degree with a Double Major in General Education and Religion from John C. Calhoun Community College, Decatur, Alabama. He has also completed requirements for a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Athens State University with a Double Major in Theology and Philosophy with a Minor in History. Like Archbishop William Temple of Canterbury, I, believe that as a philosopher I believes in thought, as a Christian I believes in faith, but as a man I believe in both. I also, received a Diploma of Theology from The Academy of Public Theology, on the beautiful campus of Miles College, Fairfield, Alabama, where I graduated Summa Cum Laude. Further studies have been completed in Secondary Education, with an emphasis on the study of the Social Sciences.
