The objective of this study is to propose the Khazar hypothesis, which suggests that Ashkenazi Jews (Jews of Eastern European descent) are not descended from the historical Israelites of antiquity, but rather from the Khazars, a Turkic people who allegedly converted to Judaism in the 8th century. The author’s intent is to disprove the racial basis of antisemitism by arguing that Jewish identity is not rooted in race but in religion and culture.
